Songkran the Siamese New Year
Songkran festival is a tradition celebration for the New Year, which begins on the day when the fairy angel of Songkran known as Nang Songkran moves into the zadiac of ARIES in the solar system. Songkran is an occasion when one express his/her gratitude and friendship towards one another. Songkran is not only the time to celebrate festive season of New Year,but it is also an opportunity to pay respect and to extend warm wishes towards the elder . The symbolic gesture is done bu pouring scented water onto their palms and asking for their blessing and good luck for the New Year .
